The Light That Stays in the Dark
The house is quiet now, and the words you tried to speak earlier are echoing in your head. You finally reached out, trembling, only to be met with a shallow 'it will be okay' that felt like a door closing in your face.
That dismissal hurts almost more than the silence would have. It makes you want to retreat, to swear you will never ask for anything again.
But listen — the Father's house has many rooms, and there is a place prepared specifically for this bruised and rejected part of you. The light does not offer you platitudes or rush to fix the pain.
It simply stays. It sits with you in the dark where the comfort failed.
You are not too heavy for the love that holds you.
