Love Remains When Memory Fades
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels like a verdict. You are holding your breath, terrified that because you can no longer summon the sound of their voice, you are finally losing them forever.
But memory is not the measure of love, and forgetting the tone is not the same as losing the person. The light does not depend on your ability to replay the past; it lives in the space between you right now, untouched by the fading of sound.
There is a connection that exists deeper than what your mind can retrieve or your grief can distort. You are not losing them because the details are slipping; you are being held in a love that requires no recall to remain real.
The dark may take the echo, but it cannot take the bond.
