You Are Not a Burden to Love
The house is quiet now, and the silence has a weight that presses against your chest. In this stillness, the old lie returns: that your needs are too heavy, that asking for help makes you a burden to the ones you love.
You hold your breath so you won't disturb the peace of others. You shrink yourself to fit into the spaces where you think you belong.
But listen — there is a Father who watches the road, not waiting for you to clean yourself up, but running toward you while you are still far off. He does not calculate the cost of your care.
He does not weigh your worth against your wounds. His love is not a limited resource that runs dry when you ask for more.
You are not a drain on the people who love you. You are the very reason their hearts beat faster when you walk into the room.
The light inside you does not apologize for existing.
