The Light Lives Inside Them
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to crush you. You walk through the rooms you built, terrified that the emptiness you carry has seeped into the walls, waiting to swallow your children whole.
You lie awake wondering if you have passed on a hunger that no god can fill, a void that will leave them stranded in the dark. But listen — the light does not depend on the strength of the foundation you laid.
It was shining in the darkness before you drew the first blueprint, and it will be there long after the walls fall down. Your fear says you have left them an empty house, but the truth says the light lives inside them, not in the rooms you built.
They will not find God in your architecture; they will find Him in their own breath, in their own blood, in the quiet place within them that you cannot touch or break. The lamp is already lit in their hearts, and no amount of your silence can blow it out.
