The Father Running Through the Dark
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to crush you. You have lost the words you used to pray, the shape of the belief that held you up, and now you wonder who you are when the light goes out.
But listen — the light does not go out just because you cannot see it anymore. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, broken and empty, and he ran before the boy could even speak.
He did not wait for the faith to return. He did not wait for the apology to be perfect.
He ran. The love was already there, waiting in the distance, watching for your return even while you were still lost.
You are not defined by what you have lost tonight. You are defined by the One who is running toward you in the dark.
