The Light Is Already Running Toward You
The house is quiet now, and the only sound left is the racing of your own mind. You are rehearsing the one honest answer you know would clear the room if you ever spoke it aloud.
The fear says that your truth is a weapon, that if you finally stop performing, the people you love will turn and walk away into the dark. But listen — the light does not flee from what is real.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, still covered in the filth of his worst mistakes. He did not wait for the apology.
He did not wait for the speech. He ran.
Before the confession could even finish, the arms were already open. Your shame tells you that honesty is the end of the relationship.
The truth is that honesty is the only thing that makes the relationship real. The light is not afraid of your answer.
It is already running toward you.
