Loved Before You Clean Up
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day has finally slipped. In this silence, the fear whispers that if they saw the real you—the broken parts, the messy history, the things you hide—they would walk away.
But listen closely. There is a love that does not require you to be polished to be held.
Jesus looked at a woman known for her shame, saw the tears she thought disqualified her, and said her great love proved she was already forgiven. He did not wait for her to clean up before he welcomed her.
He welcomed her, and the cleaning followed. The light inside you is not afraid of your darkness.
It has seen the worst of you and calls you friend. You do not have to earn the right to stay.
