The Light Stays Within Your Shadows
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day has finally slipped. In this silence, the old fear creeps in: if they really saw the real you, they would run.
You imagine the moment someone touches the broken parts inside your chest and immediately lets go. But listen.
There was a woman caught in the act of failing, standing exposed before a crowd ready to stone her. She was certain that being seen meant being destroyed.
Yet the one who saw her most clearly did not run. He bent down, waited for the accusers to leave, and looked at her with a gaze that held no judgment, only presence.
He did not condemn her. He saw the worst of her and stayed.
The light does not flee from what it finds inside you. It runs toward it.
You are not loved despite your shadows, but within them. The very thing you hide is the place where you are most known.
