Rest Now, You Are Allowed to Fall Apart
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day feels heavy in your hands. You smiled when you were supposed to, nodded when others spoke of certainty, but inside you felt like a fraud pretending to know the way.
Tonight, the gathering dark exposes the gap between your performance and your trembling heart. But listen — the light does not demand a perfect face to shine through.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, still covered in the filth of his failure, and he ran before the apology could even be formed. He did not wait for the speech.
He did not require the proof. He simply ran.
You do not have to earn the right to be held tonight. The truth lives in us and will be with us forever, regardless of how shaky our voice sounds when we whisper it.
The light is not fooled by your mask, yet it loves the person hiding behind it more than you can imagine. Rest now, not because you have it all together, but because you are finally allowed to fall apart.
