Love Runs Faster Than Fear
The house is quiet now, and the dark is gathering at the windows like a tide you cannot hold back. You walk through the rooms you built and feel a hollow ache, terrified that your children will inherit this emptiness and find no god within these walls.
But listen — the light does not depend on the strength of the builder, nor does it require a perfect house to enter. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, and before any apology was spoken, before any wrong was made right, he ran.
He did not wait for the house to be clean. He did not wait for the shame to be resolved.
He ran because love is faster than fear. The same light that lived in him lives in you, and it is already present in the silence of this evening.
It was there before you laid the first brick, and it will remain long after the shadows lengthen. Your children will not find a god you manufactured; they will find the one who has been waiting for them all along, standing in the very rooms you fear are empty.
