The Silence Is Already Holding You
The house is quiet now, and the armor you wore all day finally hits the floor. You are standing in the doorway, rehearsing the apology in your head, terrified that your silence will be interpreted as anger.
But look closer at the sleeping form before you. The chest rising and falling is not holding a grudge.
It is simply breathing. The light does not keep score of your hesitation.
It sees the fear behind your eyes and calls it love. There is a peace that does not require the perfect words to be spoken before you can rest.
You do not have to fix the night. You only have to be present in it.
The silence between you is not a wall — it is the space where the light is already holding you both.
