You Are the Ground They Walked On
The house is quiet now, and the armor you wore all day finally feels heavy enough to take off. You protected them from the storm, but now you wonder if the silence means they have forgotten the one who stood in the rain.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — and before the apology, before the speech — he ran. He did not wait for perfection.
He ran because the bond was deeper than the distance. The light that lived in Jesus is the same light that watched over your children, and it does not forget what it has loved.
You are not a memory fading in the dark. You are the ground they walked on to get here.
