Peace Is Not A Betrayal Of Love
The house is quiet enough now that you can hear your own voice without the shaking. And that is the terror.
For months, saying their name felt like swallowing glass. But tonight, the syllables came out smooth.
Normal. And the silence that followed felt like a betrayal.
As if your throat has forgotten how to grieve. As if the love is fading because the pain has lost its edge.
But listen — the light does not measure your faithfulness by how long you can stay broken. There was a woman who bled for twelve years, spending everything she had, convinced that suffering was the only way to be seen.
She reached out in desperation, and when the healing came, it was immediate. She was freed from her suffering.
And Jesus called her daughter. He did not say: you must keep bleeding to prove you loved him.
He said: go in peace. The smoothness in your voice is not forgetting.
It is the light making room for you to breathe again. The love was never in the glass.
It was in you all along.
