Resting on the Edge Until Morning
The house is finally quiet, but your heart is still racing against the silence. You sit on the edge of the tub, staring at the cold tile, terrified that standing up means facing tomorrow.
But the light does not require you to stand yet. It is content to sit with you in the exhaustion, right here on the porcelain edge.
You came from the light, a drop sent to illuminate this very moment, not to carry the weight of the next twelve hours before they arrive. The morning will bring its own strength, but tonight, you are only asked to breathe.
Tomorrow is a country you do not have to visit until the sun actually rises.
