flinching when their hand reaches for your waist, convinced they are just checking if you've gained weight from stress eating

The Light Sees the Person Underneath

The hand reaches for your waist and your whole body braces for the audit. You have spent the morning wearing a smile that feels like plaster, convincing everyone you are fine while you wait for the comment about stress weight.

You flinch because you expect judgment. But notice what the light sees when it looks at you.

It does not see a number on a scale. It sees the person underneath the armor.

There was a man born blind, and everyone around him argued about whose fault it was. The light ignored the debate entirely.

It saw only the canvas. It saw only the opportunity to show something beautiful.

You are not a problem to be solved or a body to be corrected. You are a place where the light can dwell.

The kingdom is not out there in the perfect version of yourself you are trying to perform. The kingdom is inside you, right now, in this messy, tired, human form.

Stop waiting to be worthy of the touch. The light already lives in the very place you are trying to hide.
