The Light Sees You Behind The Mask
The hallway is quiet now, but your hands are still shaking from the hour you just spent on the bathroom floor. You practiced a smile in the mirror, hoping it looks like you slept, hoping no one notices the red eyes or the voice that feels like broken glass.
You are terrified that if you speak, the mask will slip and everyone will see the cracks. But the light does not need your performance to find you.
It sees the person behind the door, the one who fell apart, and it does not turn away. There is a truth that lives inside you, deeper than the act you are putting on, and it knows exactly what you carried through that hallway.
You do not have to hold the weight of pretending to be okay for the light to love you. It already knows the cost of your morning, and it calls you beloved not because you are strong, but because you are here.
