You Are a Child to Be Held
The hallway is quiet, but your hand is shaking on the doorknob. You are frozen by the fear that crossing this threshold changes who you are — that you walk in as a son but leave as a burden.
The darkness tells you that your needs are too heavy, that your presence is a tax on the love in the room. But listen — what you feel as weight, the light sees as an invitation.
There is a truth inside you, older than your shame, waiting to be recognized. When you come to know yourself, you will realize you are not a problem to be managed, but a child to be held.
The door does not lead to rejection. It leads to the place where your very existence is enough.
