You Are Not The Obstruction
The hallway is crowded, and someone bumps hard into your shoulder. Before you can check your own balance, the word is already out: 'I'm sorry.' You apologize for existing in the space they moved into.
You make yourself small to smooth over their clumsiness. That instinct to shrink is a mask you wear to keep the peace, but it hides the truth of who you are.
There was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years, untouchable and pushed to the margins, yet she reached out and touched the light. He did not scold her for the intrusion.
He stopped the entire crowd to call her 'Daughter' and send her away in peace. The light does not view your presence as an obstruction to be managed.
It views your presence as a necessity. You are not the problem in the room; you are the vessel carrying the light that the room actually needs.
Stop saying sorry for taking up space.
