the moment you catch your own reflection in a window and realize the person staring back is a stranger wearing your skin

The Light Behind the Stranger's Eyes

The glass catches your face in the dark, and for a second, the eyes staring back feel like a stranger's. You do not recognize the weariness etched into that skin.

The night stretches out, heavy and silent, making you feel like a ghost in your own life. But look closer.

The darkness has not overcome the light that lives behind those eyes. It was there before the fatigue set in.

It is there now, steady and unbroken. You are not the stranger.

You are the light that the stranger cannot hide. The face you see is just the vessel; the glow within is the truth.

Even here, in the deepest hour, the lamp of your body is full. The reflection will change when the sun rises.

But the light does not need the morning to be real.
