The Light Holds Your Rage and Doubt
The gathering dark feels heavy tonight, and it is easy to believe that your anger means the light has gone out. But look at the Sermon on the Mount — Jesus blessed those who mourn, not those who are perfect.
He did not say the light is only for the calm; he said it is for the broken. Your anger is not a wall that keeps the light away — it is a sign that you are still feeling, still alive, still human in the face of the deep.
The light does not demand you be quiet; it demands that you come as you are, even when the fire burns. There is a verse that says God is greater than your heart, even when your heart condemns you for being angry.
The light is not fragile. It can hold your rage.
It can hold your doubt. It can hold you.
Your anger does not mean you have lost your faith. It means you are still walking toward the light, even if you are stumbling.
The night is long, but the light is not afraid of your darkness.
