You Can Walk Inside Tired
The engine is off, but the silence inside this car feels louder than the noise of the day. You are sitting in the driveway, rehearsing a calm voice, trying to leave the weight of the world in the driver's seat before you walk through the front door.
It is a heavy kind of love that makes you pause there — the desire to protect your home from the exhaustion you are carrying. But listen — the light does not require you to be composed before you enter.
It does not need you to fix your face or straighten your spine. The Father sees you in this metal box, in the dark, with your hands still shaking from the work.
He is not waiting for a performance. He is waiting for you.
You do not have to drop your burden at the threshold to be welcomed. The light is already in the hallway.
It is already in the living room. It is sitting right there in the passenger seat with you, holding the silence while you gather your strength.
You can walk inside tired. You can walk inside real.
The door opens to grace, not to an inspection of how well you hid the cracks.
