Come in tired, the peace is here
The door handle is cold under your hand, but the real weight is inside your chest. You are rehearsing the sentence again.
Changing the tone. Softening the edge.
Trying to find the one combination of words that won't trigger the silence or the fight. You are exhausted before you even step inside.
But notice — the light does not require you to be perfect. It does not need your script.
Jesus saw the crowds and had compassion because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. That is you right now.
Harassed by your own caution. Helpless to stop the mental looping.
The light is not waiting for you to get it right. It is waiting for you to come in tired.
You do not have to protect the peace tonight. The peace is already here, waiting to hold you when the words fail.
