The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The door clicks shut behind you, and the house goes quiet. You catch your reflection in the hallway mirror—the smile is still there, frozen on your face like a mask you forgot to take off.
But your eyes are empty. Dead.
You carried the weight of everyone's expectations all day, and now the performance is over, leaving you hollow in the dark. The light does not scold you for the mask.
It sees the exhaustion underneath the painted grin. There is a voice that speaks not to the smile, but to the silence behind it.
It says: do not weep. Do not grieve.
Do not be irresolute. The grace is entirely with you, and it will protect you.
You do not have to hold the expression anymore. The light is not asking for your performance.
It is waiting for the real you to come out from behind the eyes.
