He Ran Before You Spoke
The day is ending, and the inventory begins. You are terrified that if they truly knew your history, they would leave immediately.
So you keep the door locked. You keep the lights dim.
But there is a Father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — covered in the filth of a life wasted — and he did not wait for the excuse. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. The light does not need your resume.
It needs your honesty. The thing you are hiding is the very thing the light came to find.
It knows the worst of you, and it is still knocking. You are not loved despite your history.
You are loved because the light sees it all and chooses to stay. The darkness cannot hide you from the one who knows your name.
