You Are Not The Storm
The day is ending, and the armor you wore to survive is finally heavy enough to drop. You see them flinch when you move too suddenly, and that small recoil feels like a verdict on your entire existence.
It whispers that your pain has made you dangerous, that your very presence is a threat to the ones you love. But the light does not flinch from you.
It knows the difference between the wound and the weapon. There is a love that is not afraid of your trembling hands or your jagged edges.
It sees the terror in their eyes and the grief in yours, and it does not turn away. The light came into the world not to scare the small ones, but to gather them close.
You are not the storm that breaks them. You are the ground where they can finally stand still.
