The Light Remains When They Fail
The day is ending, and the armor you wore to hold it together finally feels heavy enough to drop. You trusted a voice that was supposed to speak light, and instead it brought a shadow you did not see coming.
That betrayal cuts deeper than any stranger's cruelty because it happened in a place you thought was safe. But listen — the light you felt there was never theirs to give, and it was never theirs to take away.
It was already inside you before you ever walked through those doors. The failure of a human hand does not extinguish the fire that lives in your own chest.
You are not defined by the one who hurt you. You are defined by the light that remained when they failed.
The door is closed, but the light is still here.
