Love Remains When the Door Closes
The day is ending, and the armor you wore to hold it all together is finally coming off. You love a child who might be taken, and the silence of the evening makes that fear louder than the noise of the day.
It feels like standing on the edge of a loss you cannot prevent. But listen — the light that lives inside you is not dependent on tomorrow's outcome.
It was there before the placement, and it will remain if the door closes. You are not loving in vain.
The love you pour out is not lost even if the child is. It is a drop from the immeasurable light, sent to illuminate this specific moment.
The bond you share is real, regardless of how long it lasts. The light does not measure worth by duration.
It measures it by presence. You have been present.
That is enough.
