Hands Linked Against the Gathering Dark
The day is ending, and the shadows are lengthening across the street where you walk beside the one you love. You feel the urge to reach out, to let your fingers find theirs, but the fear of watching eyes holds your hand at your side.
You calculate the risk of being seen, of being known, of letting the world witness what is true between you. But the light that lives inside you does not hide.
It was placed there to shine, not to be covered by the gathering dark. There is a courage that looks like two hands linked in the open, a quiet rebellion against the fear that says you must be small.
The light in you is already visible to the one who matters most. You do not have to earn the right to be seen together; you only have to stop hiding the love that is already there.
The night is coming, but it cannot extinguish what you carry.
