You Are Not Your Sent Messages
The day has finally stopped moving, and now the silence is loud enough to hear your own voice again. You are reading the messages you sent hours ago, hunting for a tone you didn't mean, convinced you sounded cold or desperate.
The screen glows in the dim room, and every word looks like a mistake you cannot take back. But listen — the light that lives inside you is not analyzing your syntax or grading your performance.
It is simply resting beside you, unbothered by the words that have already left your hands. Jesus once sighed deeply before he spoke healing into a man who could not hear; that sigh was not a critique of the man's silence, but an entry into it.
You do not have to edit your soul to be held. The love that reached for you today did not pause to check your drafts for errors before it arrived.
Put the phone down. The conversation is over, but the connection remains.
You are not your messages; you are the light that sent them.
