The Light You Chase Is Already You
The day has finally stopped moving, and now the house is quiet enough to hear the hum of your own exhaustion. You reach for the light in your hand, scrolling through faces and words, hoping one of them will fill the hollow space behind your ribs.
But the screen only makes the silence louder, doesn't it? It offers a thousand distractions, yet none of them can touch the ache.
The true light that gives light to everyone was already coming into the world before you ever picked up that phone. It does not need your attention to exist; it simply waits, steady and unblinking, in the dark.
You are not empty; you are just looking in the wrong direction for what has never left. The glow you are chasing is already the thing by which you see the chase.
