Light That Needs No Audience
The cursor blinks in the empty box, a rhythmic pulse in the quiet of the afternoon. You are typing words you know will never be read, just to prove to yourself that you still have them.
That the silence hasn't won. That somewhere inside the numbness, a sentence can still form.
This is the long middle of the day, where the morning's hope has faded and the evening's rest feels miles away. It is easy to feel like you are shouting into a void, performing a conversation that exists only on your screen.
But the light does not require an audience to be real. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world even if no one else sees it.
Your words are not wasted because they landed on a server instead of a heart. They are evidence that the spring is still flowing.
You are bringing forth what is within you, and in that act, you are saving yourself from the silence. The connection was never about them reading it.
It was about you remembering that you can still speak.
