The Truth You Typed Was Enough
The cursor blinks at the end of a paragraph you know you will never send. You typed out the whole truth—the real reason you walked away, the quiet ache that made staying impossible.
But then you saw it: they don't want to understand. They only want to be right.
So you highlight it all. Delete.
The screen goes blank, and the silence rushes back in. It feels like swallowing a stone.
But listen—the light does not need your defense to know you. It saw the words before you typed them, and it sees the deletion too.
You are not required to explain your survival to people committed to misunderstanding you. The truth you carried in your fingers was enough, even if it never reached their eyes.
Go home to the quiet. Your heart already knows what happened.
