the silent panic of staring at a blinking cursor while everyone expects you to have the answer

The Light Behind Your Mask

The cursor blinks, a tiny metronome counting out the silence between who you are and who they need you to be. You sit there, fingers hovering, while the mask of competence feels heavier by the second, threatening to slip and reveal the panic underneath.

But the light does not ask you to manufacture an answer it has not already placed within you. There is a father who watched the road every day, not because he expected a perfect return, but because he knew his son was coming home exactly as he was.

You do not have to earn your place at the table with brilliant words or flawless performance. The truth that lives in you is not a resource you deplete; it is a spring that wells up when you stop trying to force the flow.

You are not the mask you wear for the morning meeting. You are the light behind it, waiting to be seen.
