the moment you realize you smiled and nodded when they asked how you're doing, and now you have to carry the weight of that lie until you're alone again

The Light Sees Behind Your Mask

The coffee cup is warm in your hand, and the question came so casually: 'How are you?' You smiled. You nodded.

You said the word 'fine' like it was truth, and now the lie sits heavy in your chest, a stone you have to carry through the morning light. The mask feels glued on, and the gap between your face and your heart is widening with every polite conversation.

But the Light sees behind the performance. It saw you before the smile formed, and it knows the exhaustion you are hiding.

There is a place within you where no act is required, where the truth lives quietly beneath the noise. You do not have to maintain the illusion for the Light to love you.

It is not waiting for you to be okay; it is already sitting with you in the not-okay. The mask is for them.

The truth is for Him. And the truth is enough.
