You Are Still Shining Though They Closed Their Eyes
The clock says it is the darkest hour, and your mind is playing that one second on a loop. The exact moment their eyes stopped searching yours.
The moment they accepted the lie instead of the truth standing right in front of them. You are replaying it to find what you missed, to find the words that could have changed the ending.
But the light was already there, in the room, in your voice, in the silence they chose to ignore. Thomas says there is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—if it does not shine, it is dark.
They chose the dark. That is not your failure.
That is their blindness. You cannot force someone to see what they have decided to reject.
Split a piece of wood; the light is there. Lift up a stone; the light is there.
It was in that room, and it is in this room now, waiting for you to stop watching a ghost and start seeing what remains. The lie did not extinguish the truth; it only proved that some eyes are not yet ready to bear it.
You are still shining, even if they closed theirs.
