The Light That Stayed When They Left
The clock reads 3:47 AM. The house is silent, but your mind is replaying the tape.
The exact second their face changed from warm to cold. It feels like the world ended in that breath.
Like the light went out forever. But listen — the light does not depend on their expression.
It was there before the look, and it is here now, in the dark, refusing to leave. Thomas said there is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world.
Even this one. Even now.
You are not defined by the moment they turned away. You are defined by the light that stayed when they left.
The coldness was real. But it was not the end of the story.
