The Light Sees Your Starvation
The clock hits 2pm and the question comes: 'How are you?' You say 'blessed' because that is what is expected, but inside you are starving. The mask fits so well now that even you forget it is there.
You are performing okayness while your soul is quietly fading. But listen — the light does not need your performance.
It knows the hunger behind the smile. Jesus looked at the crowds and saw they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
He did not ask them to pretend they were full. He saw the emptiness and had compassion.
There is a place inside you that has never eaten the lies you feed the world. That place is known.
You do not have to keep acting like you are full when you are dying of thirst. The light sees the starvation and calls it by name.
You are not fooling the one who loves you.
