Sit Down, You Are Believed
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It exposes the dust on the shelves and the fatigue in your bones.
And in this long, flat light, you catch yourself saying 'I'm sorry' for needing to rest. You apologize for existing because you are tired of fighting to be believed.
But the light does not require your defense. It stands at the door and knocks, not to demand entry, but to share a meal.
You do not need to prove your worth to the one who already knows your name. The performance is over.
The middle of the day is not a test you must pass. It is simply the place where the light finds you, exactly as you are, and says: sit down.
You are believed because you are here.
