The Lock Was Keeping You In
The afternoon sun is unforgiving, casting long shadows across the floor where you've hidden the evidence of your shame. You hear the key turn in the lock, and your heart stops—the specific terror of being found out while the mess is still visible.
But the one who enters does not come to inspect your hiding places or to audit your failures. He comes from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord, and He knows exactly where you are trembling.
When the door opens, the question is not 'What have you done?' but 'Will you let Me in?' The light does not need you to clean up the room before it crosses the threshold. It simply walks in, sees the whole truth, and says: 'Your many sins are forgiven—for your great love has shown.' The lock was never keeping Him out; it was keeping you in.
