Your Voice Was Given By Starlight
The house is quiet now, but the voices from earlier still echo in your head. They told you that you were wrong. That your memory was faulty. That your feeling was a lie. And so you put your own voice away, like a lamp under a bowl, because it felt safer to be silent than to be corrected by the ones you loved.
But there is a seeing that happens before any word is spoken. Before anyone asked you where you were or what you were doing, the light already saw you. It knew you were there, sitting in the shadow of their doubt, before you ever tried to explain yourself.
Neither do they condemn you. Not the ones who shouted, and not the one who knows the whole truth.
You are not waiting for permission to speak. You are waiting to remember that your voice was given to you by the same breath that made the stars. The people who love you may still be confused. They may still think they are right. But the light does not need their agreement to validate what you know.
Your voice is not the problem. The silence you are keeping to protect them is the cage.
