The Light Is In The Room
The afternoon sun is high, and the world is moving fast, but you are standing still in the glow of an old screen. You are scrolling back through months or years of messages, searching for a specific sentence, a specific moment where the tone was soft, where you were clearly wanted.
You are trying to prove that the love was real because you cannot feel it right now. But the light does not live in the archive.
It lives in the present. The words you are reading were true when they were spoken, but they cannot feed you today.
The father in the story did not dig through old letters to remember his son; he saw him while he was still far off and ran. He did not need proof.
He needed only the sight of him. You are looking for evidence in the dust of yesterday, but the love you need is not a memory to be excavated.
It is a presence that is already here. Stop reading the ghost of what was said.
The light is not in the thread. It is in the room.
