The Light Runs Before You Speak
The afternoon sun is bright, yet it often feels like a mask you wear to hide the quiet ache that says you only matter when you are hurting. You might believe your worth is tied to the weight you carry, as if peace makes you invisible.
But the light does not need your pain to see you. It sees you just as clearly in the stillness.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. The light runs toward you not because you are broken, but because you are beloved.
Your value was never earned through suffering. It was given before the first wound.
You are not a project to be fixed by pain. You are a child already held.
The struggle is not that you are unworthy when you are well. The struggle is remembering that you were loved before the hurt began.
