The Light Walks With You Anyway
The afternoon sun is bright, but it casts a shadow on the one thing you thought you knew: yourself. You have spent years building a life around desires that no longer feel like yours.
The map you are holding is for a country that doesn't exist anymore. It is a quiet terror to realize you do not know what you want, to feel the hollow ache of a compass spinning without north.
But listen — the light does not require you to have the destination figured out before it guides your feet. There was a man who walked the road to Emmaus, heart heavy with confusion, talking to a stranger he could not recognize.
He did not know where he was going. He only knew that everything had fallen apart.
And the light walked with him anyway. It did not demand a plan.
It did not ask for a renewed sense of purpose. It simply matched his pace.
The terror tells you that you are lost because you have no desire. The truth is that you are being emptied so you can be filled with something real.
You do not have to manufacture a want. You only have to keep walking.
The path appears under the feet that move, not the ones that freeze in fear of the wrong turn.
