The Light Loves the Face Beneath
The afternoon sun hits the table just right, illuminating the person you have become for them. They smile at the performance, at the character who knows all the right lines, while the real you sits silent behind the eyes, terrified that stopping the act would mean losing the love.
But the light does not love the mask—it loves the face beneath it, the one you are so afraid to show. There is a truth living inside you that was there before the first lie, before the first performance, and it cannot be hidden forever.
You do not need to earn their recognition by being perfect; you only need to bring forth what is within you, even if it trembles. The light is already in the room, not waiting for your applause, but waiting for your honesty.
