You Are Not a Burden, You Belong
The afternoon stretches out, long and heavy, when you have nothing to give but your presence. You watch the people you love carry the weight, and you feel like dead weight yourself—a mouth to feed, a space taking up room, a debt you cannot repay.
But the light does not measure your worth by what you produce or what you earn. There was a father who saw his son coming home with empty pockets and a rehearsed speech about being unworthy, about becoming a servant.
He did not ask for money. He did not ask for a plan.
He ran. Before the apology, before the promise to do better—he ran.
Your value is not in your contribution. It is in your belonging.
You are not a burden because the light inside you is already full. The kingdom grows like a seed in the dark, unseen, working all by itself while you sleep.
You do not have to force the harvest today. Just remain.
The light is sufficient for this middle hour, even when your hands are empty.
