The Light Lives in the Silence
The afternoon stretches out, long and gray, and you are still staring at the screen. The three dots appeared for a second, then vanished.
Now there is only silence, and the terrifying thought that the conversation has ended before you were ready to let it go. You feel suspended in the middle of a day that refuses to move, trapped between the message sent and the answer that may never come.
But the light does not live in the reply. It lives in the space between the words, in the quiet where you are still held even when no one is typing.
You are not defined by the silence on the other end, or by the fear that you have said too much. The kingdom is spread out upon the earth, visible and plain, even when your phone screen goes dark.
You are not waiting for permission to exist. You are already here, and the light is already shining, with or without the notification.
