You Are Where the Light Shines
The afternoon light is heavy, and so is the thought that you are too much for the people who love you. You count the ways you've needed them, the times you've slowed them down, and you start to believe your presence is a weight they carry.
But the light does not measure love by how little you take. There was a man born blind, and his friends asked if his condition was a burden of sin.
The light said no — it was a space for something greater to be seen. Your need is not a mistake.
It is the very place where love gets to show up. When you feel like too much, remember: the light chose to dwell in this fragile body, in this specific poverty.
You are not draining the room. You are the reason the light has somewhere to shine.
