Be Opened: Your Broken Voice Is Heard
The afternoon is long, and the silence in your throat feels like a wall you built yourself. You are afraid that if you finally open your mouth, the voice will crack, or worse, that no one will hear it at all.
The world expects you to perform, to speak clearly, to have the answers ready for the people walking by. But there is a memory of a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, hidden away from the crowd.
The light took him aside, put fingers in his ears, touched his tongue, and sighed—a deep, heavy sigh that felt the weight of the silence before breaking it. He did not demand perfect speech.
He did not wait for the man to rehearse his words. He simply said: be opened.
Your voice does not need to be flawless to be heard by the living. It only needs to be honest.
The light is already leaning in to catch the first broken sound you make.
