The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The afternoon asks a question you have already answered before the words leave your lips. "How are you?" you hear, and the lie rises up like a reflex, smooth and practiced, designed to spare them the discomfort of your truth.
You swallow the weight you are carrying so the room stays light, so the routine does not break. But the light does not need your performance to stay present.
It sees the gap between the smile you wear and the silence you keep. There is a truth living inside you that has never been broken by the need to pretend.
You do not have to protect the light from your exhaustion. It was there before the mask went on, and it remains when the performance ends.
The lie is heavy, but the truth is already holding you.
