You Do Not Owe This Apology
It is three in the morning, and you are rehearsing a speech you do not owe. You are crafting a casual apology for a silence that was not your fault, just to make sure the other person does not feel uncomfortable.
You are carrying their ease on your back while your own heart breaks in the dark. But listen — the light does not ask you to shrink so others can expand.
There is a peace that does not depend on fixing what you did not break. The Father's love is not a negotiation where you trade your truth for their comfort.
You are allowed to let the silence stand. You are allowed to be the one who did not speak, without becoming the one who says sorry.
The light inside you knows the difference between guilt and responsibility, and it refuses to wear the other person's shame as your own. Put the words down.
The dawn will come whether you apologize or not.
